Power Rating: Ensure your total load requirement is within the 300W-350W capacity of the chosen model. Note the peak load capability (150% for 1 second, 12-48V models) for intermittent high loads, but size for continuous load.
Cooling & Airflow: The built-in fan requires unobstructed airflow. Ensure adequate ventilation space around the unit, especially at the fan intake and exhaust areas. Do not block ventilation holes.
Derating: Consult the derating curve. Output power must be reduced at high ambient temperatures (typically above 50°C).
Fan Control: The fan turns on around 50°C internal temperature and off around 40°C. This is normal operation.
Grounding: Securely connect the FG (Frame Ground) terminal to safety earth.
Wiring: Use appropriate wire gauges for AC input and DC output terminals capable of handling the high currents involved (up to 60A for the 5V model). Verify DC output polarity.
EMC Considerations: As a component power supply, the final system incorporating the LRS-350 must be re-tested for overall EMC compliance.
