• This is a Module Only: You MUST purchase a compatible Trinity Yoke and a Trinity Cover Plate to create a functional dimmer switch.
• LED Compatibility is CRITICAL: This is a leading-edge dimmer. It is compatible ONLY with lamps marked as "DIMMABLE". Using it with non-dimmable LEDs or CFLs will cause flickering, buzzing, and will likely damage the lamp and/or the dimmer.
• De-rate for LED Loads: The 500W rating applies to resistive loads like incandescent bulbs. For dimmable LEDs, a general rule is to de-rate the dimmer's capacity by 90%. Therefore, this 500W dimmer should control a maximum of 50W of LED lighting to ensure stable performance and long life.
• Not for Fans or Motors: This is a light dimmer. It must NOT be used to control the speed of a fan or any other motor (inductive load). For fan control, you must use the Trinity 400W Rotary Fan Module (TSMF401W).
• Minimum Load: Some low-power LED circuits may be below the dimmer's minimum load requirement, which can cause instability. If you experience flickering with a very small LED load, a load correction device may be required. Consult a qualified electrician.
