• CRITICAL - MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN: This product controls a high-power heating circuit and interfaces with a floor sensor. Installation MUST be performed by a certified electrician in strict accordance with SANS 10142-1 and the heating manufacturer's instructions.
• FLOOR SENSOR IS ESSENTIAL: This thermostat requires a floor temperature sensor (usually a 10kΩ NTC probe) to be installed in the floor to function correctly. This sensor is typically supplied with the underfloor heating mat/cables, not with the thermostat itself. The electrician must install this sensor correctly in a conduit within the floor screed.
• DO NOT EXCEED MAXIMUM LOAD: The electrician must calculate the total wattage of the connected underfloor heating system to ensure it does not exceed the thermostat's 16A (3600W) rating. Larger heating zones may require a contactor.
